eduardo paolozzi / geometric variations (proof) / 40/002
An untitled and unsigned geometric screenprint from the estate of eduardo paolozzi's former partner - Christine Risley (1926-2003), artist and lecturer in Textiles at Central Saint Martin's School of Art, London. The circles, triangles, and other combinations of shapes can be seen in prints such as Illumination and the Eye (1967) and Theory of Relativity (1967) as well as many of the prints from the series Moonstrips Empire News (1967). It's also possible that these geometric variations were in preparation for the artist's collaboration with Wedgwood.
This was a 'working' proof, and therefor has slight markings - but is a very dramatic 'statement' piece
